Parenting after a Loss

Daycare went well today.

They said she didn't even notice I was gone after I snuck out. So I think that will be my strategy until she gets to a point where she's really comfortable there.

She took a 3 hour nap (was probably exhausted from the rough night last night) and was playing happily when we arrived. Though she started to cry as soon as she saw us :(

Daycare seems to make her ravenous. Dinner tonight was a cheese stick and about 3 dozen goldfish in the car ride home, then a whole hot dog, 1/2 a cup of corn, and 2 slices of fresh pineapple, followed up by 10 oz of milk.

Re: Daycare went well today.

  • I'm so happy she did so well today. I hope it just continues for you all. And that is what M eats for all of his meals on a regular basis. Hungry starving babies.

  • Glad it went so much better.  Are your ILs still planning on coming...or did I miss that?

    Definitely coming.

B will be out of daycare all next week. We'll likely be starting from scratch the week after and H will be back on regular (read: really long) hours so that's another adjustment in itself.

  • I'm glad she is getting used to it.  Hope next week doesn't set her back too much.

Sounds like today was good day.  I hope the rest of you adjustment goes well.

  • Glad today was better.  It gets easier, to the point where it's definitely harder on mama than kiddo.
