Success after IF

Hey pg ladies? How are you doing? :)

How's it going?

How are you feeling?

Are you ready to add another person to your family?

Have you told their big brother/sister(s)?  How did they react?  Do they "get it"?

How is it different this time?

Share a bump pic for me to admire if you have one! :)

Re: Hey pg ladies? How are you doing? :)

  • You talking to me?!?!

How's it going? - 66 shots of PIO and counting.  Prayers please I get the the green light today to stop!

How are you feeling? -Not bad, I feel like I'm slowly emerging out of the first tri slump.

Are you ready to add another person to your family? -NOPE!  Terrified to be adding that third kid to the family.  They will outnumber us!

Have you told their big brother/sister(s)?  How did they react?  Do they "get it"? - Yes and no.  We talk about it, but they don't really talk much yet.

How is it different this time?  - I feel like first tri went so fast (NT scan is tomorrow!) because of the holidays, kiddies, etc.

  • Feeling good!  slowing down a bit, as I'm double the size right now that I was with DD...I can run around and do errands in the mornings, but by the afternoon I'm exhausted.  No complaints though...very excited about the girls' arrival.  We're setting up the room little by little.  DD has no idea what's coming her way - probably a good thing.  :)

  • First of all, I am SOOOOOOOO jealous of OrangeSmoke and the fact that she even has potential to stop the PIO shots. My RE is so super cautious that I will be on PIO (and EIO, because she truly believes is lumpy butts/torture) until 16 weeks because this is an FET (12 weeks for a fresh IVF).

    Yeah, 16 WEEKS!! Crying

Maybe my OB will just decide she's crazy and let me free sooner.

So I bargained for a week of progesterone supps, so I could give my butt a break. Only she's only letting me use them every other day. Nonetheless, I think it's helping! Also, progesterone supps are SO GROSS!

Ha, I'm such a whiny baby. ;) Other than that I feel fine. I really do. A little brown spotting yesterday, but I'm not letting it get me down.

As for whether we're ready, it depends on when you ask me. Today, I would say, yes, we are! Because Will actually slept in his crib the entire night for the first time in months!! But there are days when he is such a handful that I wonder how we'll do it. :)

Definitely different this time in that I have other stuff on my mind. I think of this LO, but not 24/7 like I did with Will. I hate that, but in the end, I keep reminding myself that thinking about this LO 24/7 or not is not going to change the outcome and Will needs me! Oh, and my messy just-moved-into house needs me too. :)

Oh, and no pics of my flab. Sorry.

I apologize for my whining about doing 66 shots.  Your RE has proven, on so many occasions, that she is indeed a masochist.

  • I'm 9w4d and sick sick sick.  SO sick.  I was sick with DD but this is ridiculous.  I'm losing weight which is probably ok since I'm overweight to begin with but it does freak me out a bit since I know this babies will come early and I want them to be a good size.  Are we ready?  Um, no.  Although I did do some nursery theme planning on Pinterest this weekend (circus, of course).  We've decided how we'll rearrange the house too -- so that's some progress.  And I'm just waiting for my NT scan in two weeks.

DD has no idea, honestly I'm not sure she'd really understand and how do you explain three siblings?  I'm worried how I'm going to explain it when they are here!

No bump pic but I've got one.  I'm wearing scarves and cardigans with everything for bump camoflague.

  • How's it going? - So far so good. 10w1d today.

How are you feeling? - Feeling good so far.  Just getting over a cold.  This pregnancy is so different from my first.  Very weird.

Are you ready to add another person to your family? - Not quite yet, but I will be by August.  We have so much organizing to do before then.

Have you told their big brother/sister(s)? How did they react? Do they "get it"? - He knows his brother/sister is in my belly, but that is about it.  His world will be turned upside down in August when he realizes what that means.

How is it different this time? - Barely an m/s.  Some nausea, but I haven't thrown up yet.  I have been tired and hungry.  My first appt. is tomorrow.  Can't wait to hear the heartbeat again.

  • Hi there!  Thanks for checking in with us!  :)

I'm feeling pretty good.  Having a hard time sleeping and bending over.  And chasing after an almost 3yo is tiring!  But I'm feeling ok!

I don't think he has any idea what is going to happen.  We talk about it.  Read books about it.  But I don't think anything is going to prepare him totally.

I'm busy getting ready for this little guy!  I have a to-do list as long as my arm, so I'm just taking it 1 step at a time to get ready!  But there is SO MUCH to do!

How's it going? - Pretty well so far.  It's been pretty uneventful to this point (32w2d).  I go for a growth sono on weds so I'm surious to see how big the little guy is.

How are you feeling? - Most days pretty darn good.  Obviously the only comparison I have is the twin pregnancy so this seems fairly easy (don't mean to sound like I'm gloating).  Some days I'm shot but really the only complaint I have is that I'm tired - and that's more from chasing the boys around than from being pregnant.

Are you ready to add another person to your family? - I'm very excited to have another family member.  I'm a bit anxious to see how it changes things but I am more excited than anything.

Have you told their big brother/sister(s)?  How did they react?  Do they "get it"? - We told the boys and they get that there's a baby in mommy's belly and that they have to be careful with the baby, but honestly I dont think they'll really "get it" until the baby comes home.

How is it different this time?   -  It's not the main focus - I dont mean for that to sound harsh, but last time being the first time, the pregnancy was the entire focus.  Now, the focus is surviving the day with almost 3 year old toddlers.  Oh and a lot fewer dr appointments :)

How's it going? Depends on when you catch me on what answer you'll get.  I'd say things are "ok".  Definitely could be better but they could be worse too.

How are you feeling? She's not head down, I believe she's transverse.  She intermittenly cuts of the flow of my uterers so that my kidneys can't drain into my bladder.  This causes some killer back pain until I can get someone where and lean over or get on my hands and knees and then causes some hellacious cankles for a day or two while my kindeys try to catch back up.  I'm doing ok with the contractions, not having too many so I sort of take my procardia prn.  When I first started taking it my only real s/e was my shins got flushed (think 'looks like a bad sunburn' and would feel hot and itchy).  The last few doses have caused my face to get flushed and puffy feeling.

Are you ready to add another person to your family? I'm excited but getting stressed about trying to have everything "ready".  I need to find a dresser and apparently "white" is hard to come by, everything is off-white.

Have you told their big brother/sister(s)?  How did they react?  Do they "get it"?

Obviously I don't think he has a full understanding of what it means to have a baby living with us, but he does surprise me with his grasp of it.  Sometimes he'll say "you go to the hospital and get Claire out of your tummy"  And when we come home he used to say "yay! mommy and daddy's house"  We would remind him that it was his house too so he started saying mommy and daddy and mark's house.  Now he adds Claire on there also and frequently lists her without being prompted.  His teacher asked him what his baby's name was going to be and he told her it was Claire.  She got a little stuffed doll for Christmas and he made me put it under my shirt and leave it there.

How is it different this time?  I have a crazy toddler to take care of, other than that it feels the same.  I feel bad b/c I'm too tired to play, I can't sit on the floor with him and when he's not cooperating I lose my patience easily.

As you can see my shirts no longer cover the bottom of my belly, I have no idea what I'll be wearing for the next 6 weeks.

And there are really no words for this one, luckily my ankles returned the next day, this was thanks to the lovely kidney issues mentioned above so it tends to come and go.

How's it going? So far so good.  29wks3days and counting. Somebody pinch me.

How are you feeling? Refluxy and tired, oh, with a dash of mood swings ;) And slow as a turtle.  I have a pretty active and physical job, and it's getting harder and harder to give it 100%

Are you ready to add another person to your family? Mentally yes. Beyond ready.  Practically, we still have a lot of prep work to do for this little guy.

Have you told their big brother/sister(s)?  How did they react?  Do they "get it"? When I told E he was getting a little brother for his birthday he looked confused and said "I'm still getting toys, right?"  LOL.  But seriously, now that he knows he's still getting toys for his birthday he is totally psyched to be a big brother.  He has a boy baby doll that he carries around and calls his little brother.  It's adorable.  Oh, and he asks daily how his brother is doing.

How is it different this time?  With my first pregnancy I was already having blood pressure problems at this point, and had started bedrest. E was born at 32w5days.  Knock on wood, so far so good on that front.  BP has been awesome, and I'm hoping it stays that way for a good while. I told the dr.  my main mission here is to bring this kiddo home with me.  I'd love to skip the month long nicu adventure this time around.

  • How's it going? Great

How are you feeling? Much better than last month!  But I woke up with a sore throat, hoping it is nothing.

Are you ready to add another person to your family? yes but nervous all at the same time.  Having 2 kids under 18 months will come with it's challenges.

Have you told their big brother/sister(s)?  How did they react?  Do they "get it"? She has no idea what is going on but what can you expect from a 13 month old

How is it different this time?  It is hard to chase a toddler around when you have no energy.

Share a bump pic for me to admire if you have one! :) I have not taken one for almost 4 weeks, I need to get on that.

How's it going? SSLLOOWWW.  I wish the 1st tri would end already because I still can  not relax

How are you feeling? I feel great which is why I am so nervous.  I was this way with Katie too (and I am counting my blessings) but it is so unnerving to not feel pregnant - minus my too tight pants)

Are you ready to add another person to your family? Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you told their big brother/sister(s)?  How did they react?  Do they "get it"? We have still not offically told Katie bcause for one she is a blabber mouth : ) and 2 I am still nervous

How is it different this time?  I feel exactly the same!  This is why I think Mary is indeed a "Mary" ; )

How's it going? OHH you are STILL talking to me!! Yes I am still PG..other then the fact that we are moving this weekend I am doing ok...

How are you feeling? I have good days and bad days..Most of the time I feel ok but when I feel crappy I feel terrible..I am usually good in the AM but feel worse at night..and Sleeping is a thing o the past..It doesn't really happen without the help of some Bendryl or Tylenol PM..

I did though lose my MP this weekend in bits (so lovely I know) not sure what that means though..I just hope this baby stays put a few more days any time after saturday would be great!

Are you ready to add another person to your family? Ready NO..is it going to happen Yes...I am excited to meet this little person though

Have you told their big brother/sister(s)?  How did they react?  Do they "get it"? DO 17 mnth olds really understand? I am not sure..we tell him about the baby but I don't think he "get"s much of anything other then Sesame Street..

How is it different this time? It's been a totally different pregnancy..Like Night and Day..I now can truly say that there was something wrong with J and I should have been more dilligant about my OB listening to what I was feeling..

Share a bump pic for me to admire if you have one! :)I PROMISE I am going to post one this week!!

How's it going? It's going :) A lot more stressful this time around.

How are you feeling? Overally I feel pretty good but much more tired than with DS, get short of breath and uncomfortable from silly things.

Are you ready to add another person to your family? Haha, I don't know we'll ever be ready but I can't wait.

Have you told their big brother/sister(s)? How did they react? Do they "get it"?Graeme has been told and he will say "see babies in belly" and gives them kisses but I don't know that he really gets it.

How is it different this time? I have had a few scares so that's raised the stress level for sure.
