Hi! I'm nine weeks along and have been dealing with a lot of indigestion. For the past two weeks or so I've been taking a dose of pepto bismol a few times a week. I'd read somewhere that it was OK, and now I read that it's NOT OK because the salicylates can go across the placenta. Any nurses or doctors out there have opinions about this? I'm obviously not going to take any more but now I'm very worried about any damage that may have already been done.
Thanks!

No to pepto, there is an ingredient in it that isn't safe for pregnancy. When I got pregnant with my first DH's co worker's wife was a pharmacist and she told me that right away.
Tums, and Zantac are my go to for heartburn, stomach issues.
