Hi! This is my first post and really, I think I am looking for reassurance more than anything!
I am almost 10 weeks and all of a sudden, as I stand in the mirror analyzing my soon to be baby bump, I notice it's not so soon to be anymore! And I am freaking out about it! Should I be showing so early? The scale says I have only gained 3 lbs., but I am overweight and figured I would not begin to show until much later in the pregnancy. I know I am over-analyzing things, but I just can't help it. Is it normal to begin showing at 10 weeks?
Re: First signs of a belly
From what I understand, it's probably bloat/gas right now; if this is your first, you probably won't sport a "bump" until around 12-13 weeks. Right now, your uterus more than likely is still low and hasn't "popped" out yet. But...it does vary from woman to woman, even pregnancy to pregnancy, so...who knows??
I wouldn?t say I?ve ?popped? or anything, but I can tell I have a small bump. I?m fairly thin and my stomach was always very flat so I have a noticeable bump to myself, which is different than the bloat I had earlier on. Someone else probably wouldn?t be able to tell though. I haven't gained any weight yet, but I'm sure it's around the corner. Don't stress out though, sport it! 3lbs is within normal range for the first trimester.
