1st Trimester

new bras

So prior to this pregnancy I was around a 34 F....now I'm already growing out my bras at 10 weeks...when I look on motherhood.com it seems that they don't have many sizes....any suggestions on where to go for bras in my size without spending too much?

Re: new bras

  • I was an H before getting pregnant 1st time and ended up an M once my milk came in! The best place I've found is biggerbras.com. You can also sometimes get a good deal on Amazon or eBay.

If you have a shop nearby that caters to women who have had mastectomies, you might want to check there as well. In my experience, they also carry large cup size bras, nursing as well as regular.

  • O ladies don't take this the wrong way, but you poor girls, don't your neck/back bother you? I work for a surgeon that does breast reductions often and I hear the stories of how large breasts get with pregnancy! I give you guys credit I really do!
  • wow I thought I had it bad with DD before and I am outgrowing them good luck ladies!
  • This little item saved me from having to buy new bras last time around (obviously this won't work if cup size is also increasing). I got them at the local fabric store. Just passing the info along in case someone else's bras start feeling tight around the rib cage!

  • I am an E (clothes size 6) and am already outgrowing my bras. This depresses me, and the WORST thing is that we are not supposed to wear underwired bras in pregnancy. When you have boobs this size, let me tell you, the non-underwired ones look AWFUL (on me at least). Do you think there's any way to get away with wearing underwired bras anyway?
  • Excuse my ignorance, but why can't a pregnant woman wear underwire?  I know for nursing it is not recommended, but during pregnancy I have always worn underwires, for my first and for this pregnancy.  I need the support and don't like how the girls look in non-underwires.
  • Wow, and i thought I had it bad...I'm a 32 D, and before getting KU it was hard enough to find bras in that size. I think my breasts are already growing, and I'm not sure yet exactly how to handle it...but there's a big store specializing in bras not far from me, so maybe I'll go there and ask around.

BTW, I'm also curious as to why we couldn't/ shouldn't wear bras with underwire...ALL of my bras currently have it. What would be the problem?

Though I wear a size 2, my bras are DD & I buy from Cacique (Lane Bryant); up to a 48DDD and they usually do GREAT sales (right now, they are buy 2, get 2 free: https://cacique.lanebryant.com/full-figure-bras/15023/index.cat)
