soxfan I LOVE YOU!

I just want to say I think you are the best.  I just spoke to my bf and she said she has cried - good tears - every time she has gotten an e-mail from you.  She has gotten more hope and encouragement from you and your daughter.  It has been so good for her to hear about your journey.  All of the research we had done on infantile stroke left her feeling depressed and sad and stressed out because they all seem to talk about the worst case scenerio.  Hearing from another mom has really brightened her whole sense of self.  She sounded great when I spoke to her a few minutes ago.

I wish I could reach through the computer and give you a hug.  How awesome that I randomly ran across your post on a board I am rarely ever on - I am a parenting board girl.

Thank you again for taking the time to talk with my friend.  BTW she said you totally sound like someone we would be friends with IRL - Haha that's how we always judge whether we like a celebrity or not.

Thank you again.  You are great!

  • I am so happy to hear that I helped your friend.  I know that I have been so lucky with how healthy my DD is now, and I hope that you friend's daughter has the same experience.  I'm thrilled that I can help someone who is going through what we had to endure a year ago.  I'm glad that you and she reached out to me- at least I could help someone feel less alone.  I hope to hear all good updates!

I should also add that my friends and I say that ALL THE TIME about celebrities!  Weird!  Maybe we knew each other in another life or something!

  • Haha that's funny.  I thought we were the only ones that said stuff like that.  We will definately keep you updated on Hannah.  We are crossing our fingers that they will be able to take her off the phenobarbotol as soon as they get the results from last weeks EEG.

How exciting that your little girl is going to be a big sister - to twins!  I will be praying for you and your new little ones.  I know from your previous post that you are a little nervous about what is to come.  If you ever need any encouraging words or even an ear to vent to please send me an e-mail or look for me on Parenting.

    Hugs!

     Jennifer
