Today I rode in the back seat with B on the way in to keep her awake, thinking maybe the jolt of being woken up and then immeadiately dropped off was contributing to her theatrics at daycare.
All was good. I got her unstrapped and her coat on, she was waving bye bye to H and all smiles.
Get in the building and as soon as I swipe open the daycare door (we have prox cards to get in) she started whimpering. By the time I opened the door to her room she was blubbering and in tears. I couldn't even calm her down enough to get her to sit at the breakfast table, I ended up just handing my crying kid to the teacher and leaving.
This is just awful.

((hugs)) for the both of you. It's hard. DD cried this AM too but by the time I signed her in she had stopped so <1 min. We've dropped by to peak in on her and she's always happy & playing so it's just the mornings that are rough.
Yesterday they said she calmed and ate her breakfast and it was nice out so they took them outside for a walk, which she loves. She was fussy again after that (likely because she didn't want to come in) but actually took a 2.5 hour nap yesterday, which is closer to what she takes at home with us. Then her sheet said she sat with Mrs. Gail to calm down for a good part of the afternoon.

Well, that sounds a little better than yesterday at least. It's a big transition for her, so hopefully time and getting comfortable with the teachers/room/routine/other kids will help. Before you know it she'll be super bored on weekends/vacations and excited to be back at school on Monday and you'll be sadsies for the opposite reason.

I'm sorry it has been so hard. ((hugs))
This is making me dread daycare next week.

I did my first drop off this morning. DS was fine, but mommy wanted to cry. It's easier to be away from him for 8 hrs than it was to drop him off. I'm hoping it will get easier for all of us!
