update

I'm being induced in 3 weeks.

Indifferent

I've been having this crazy itching.  The specialist did some blood work last week and they say all is normal.  The thought was that I have cholestasis.   Now, they don't know why I am itching.  Benedryl and oatmeal baths do not help very much.  I don't have a rash and everything else seems fine.  It started in my legs and feet and moved to my hands, arm pits, and ears.  I quit taking the med yesterday for cholestasis when I was told to stop.  Now the itching it back and I have no solution.  So he put me down for induction in three weeks because they aren't sure what the problem is.

Those nst tests that they do on me every week do nothing but stress me out.  I know I am supposed to sit and relax while the machine monitors the baby.  But all I can do is sit there and stare as his heart rate jumps around on the screen.

Anyone else have this?

Is it PUPPS or PUUPS? Something like that, I can't remember but I used to work with a girl that had it. Crazy, I hope you get some relief soon!

I had PUPPS with Noah and I had a rash all over my belly. It was horrible. I hope that all goes well with the induction. Also why do the NTS stress you out? Made me calm knowing everything was alright!

Not pupp. I don't have any rash. Dr. told me to take benedryl but it doesn't help and the itching is back. My skin is crazy sensitive to begin with. It's weird because I notice if I get hot or sweat I itch more. The NST stresses me because I can hear and see that monitor. I think next time I'll bring headphones. Yesterday I watched his heart jump from 194 to 120. I'm guessing that is normal but it scared me watching that jump. I'm a worry wart by nature.

I had PUPPS and all I had was a nasty itching all over my legs and stomach, but no rash. I was so frustrated I couldn't sleep and all I wanted to do was scratch my skin off. My doctor referred me to a dermatologist how gave me some type of steroid cream that worked wonders!!! Good luck, maybe you should try a dermatologist first and see what they tell you or give you to help with the itching, I know just how frustrating it is.

A friend of ours had some crazy itching during her last pregnancy and it was actually her liver enzymes being out of whack because of the pregnancy. She would take benadryl and then have to go in to L&D to be monitored if it went on too long. It was really annoying, but in the end she recovered after giving birth. It was just one of the rare reactions to pregnancy that some people can get.

I hope you can get some relief and 3 weeks will be here before you know it.
