1st Trimester

Bloat worse the 2nd time around?

With DD, I only needed to use a Bella Band when I was around 9-10weeks. With this one, I'm only 6 weeks and had to get the bella band out this morning! It's ridiculous!

If this bloat keeps up, I have no clue how I will keep this a secret t'ill 12 weeks! My stomach is usually pretty flat so that makes the bloat very noticeable...

Anyone else?

  • I feel that I am more bloated the 2nd time around or maybe I just dont remember what it was like this early with the 1st?  It gets pretty uncomfortable by the end of the day

  • I'm on #3 and my bloat this time is very apparent and it's still so ridiculously early! I may need to invest in one of these bella bands you speak of! Where can you get one and how much typically?

They sell something similar at Target I had one with my first and didnt really like it since I felt like I was adjusting it all the time.  I want to say it was something like $15.00

  • I was feeling so sad that I'm already thinking of maternity pants! I'm hoping to hold off until 2nd tri but my body just wants to look completely pregnant right now!

You are welcome hope it works for you (as in you like it)  also I've heard that the Bella Band is made with a thicker material and doesnt roll down like the one from Target seems to do.  But I can not confirm or deny that.

  • Yes with DS I never bloated and didn't show till around 26 weeks. This time my pants are already getting tighter. Its very disappointing since I just lost 65 pounds and wanted to stay in my size 9 jeans just a little longer!

  • It has definitely been worse this time around. I am already the same size I was at 15wks with Mathieu... Crazy!

  • My bloat is far worse this time around. I feel pretty gross as I know it isn't a "bump" yet, just a jiggly mess. I'm hoping it will cool it a little before my actual bump arrives. It is not cute.
  • I feel absolutely huge.  My clothes still fit and DH says I look pretty much the same, but the bloat is undoubtedly worse than it was with DS.

  • Uhh yeah.  It's frightening. LOL.  I kept DD's pg a secret WAY longer than I will be able to this time.  BY the end of the night I look like 5 mo pg or something.  Even in the morning there is a little bulge below belly button level & my belly is normally FLAT.  I think I am going to have to bust out bella band & maybe even maternity pants soon for the sake of comfort.  Geez.
