Alright, I hope I have the most up to date info on people...please update me with any changes!  How's everyone doing?

QOTD:  Are you a POASer?  If so, when do you usually give yourself the green light to start?  And if not, how do you restrain yourself?  And if you don't, are you also a team green sort of person? :)

Re: TTC Again Check-in

  • Congrats to all the BFP's and ((hugs)) to those that need them.

QOTD: I'm a POAS addict.  I started yesterday and I think I'm 8dpo.   We aren't even really trying.  We only did the deed twice during what might have been the right week.  But there's always a little hope right????  Also, I think with #2 we may be team green.  We will see.

    Diagnosis - MIF - FUIF!
    #1 12R, 7M, 5F - 2- 3dt BFN - 1 totsicle became our DD.
    TTC#2 since 1/12
    IVF #2 - 10R, 6M, 5F - 1 5dt of a morula= BFN none to freeze.
IVF #3 (blegh) Long Lupron Protocol
    ER 8/23 12R, 7M, 2F - 2 beautiful 3d 8/26
    +HPT 9/3 beta #1 9/10= 78.5 #2 9/12 = 136 #3 9/14 319 #4 9/17 890 #5 9/21 2119
    Little B is where he needs to be. HB 9/24. no HB 10/3. Missed m/c @ 8w. D&C 10/5 :(
    IVF #4 - Antagonist Protocol
    ER - 17R, 14M, 9F - 1 beautiful blast 12/13 (Our anniversary), 3 more FROZEN!! WOO HOO!
    +HPT 12/17 beta #1 12/27 = 1654 (um hells to the yeah), beta #2 12/31 = 6994, 1st u/s= 1/8 (fingers firmly crossed) = HB 125. You rock little one.
Please, Please Stick. Mommy, Daddy and Big Sis love you so much.

QOTD:  I used to be a non POAS but I went to town with this FET.  I love it!  Never been so much fun :)  And no, I'm not a team green kinda gal either.

Update:  Nothing really, just straddling the fine line between "Is she pregnant or just ate too many cookies over Christmas?"  NT scan is next Tuesday!

  • Had my WTF appointment today. I will be moving forward with a FET when my beta is zero and I have AF. Sad seeing my name removed from the BFP list :(

Are you a POASer? If so, when do you usually give yourself the green light to start? And if not, how do you restrain yourself? And if you don't, are you also a team green sort of person? :)Yes, I am!  I usually start 4 or 5 days past transfer.

  • This is our last month of meds and IUI break.  I have been working with my new acu lady (I seriously think I might marry her) for a month now and have seen and felt some great changes.  She has me taking a sh!t ton of supplements - 10 at every meal.

QOTD:  I am not a POAS-aholic.  Odd as it sounds, I'd rather have AF show then see a negative.  I just don't like getting my hopes up.  I test when AF is late - usually CD30 or so.  And yes, I am a team green member and will be with the next. Wink  Wonder if there is any correlation.

  • Well, we had our second crappy SA so on to DS for us. I'm sure I'll come around to the idea as I'm look for our donor. I guess as soon as I find a donor we get started. This is going to cost us a lot less money. LOL with you QOTD:) The only time I've ever had reason to poas was after my IVF. I started 8dp3dt = bfn the next day I got my BFP. I'm sure wih our donor cycle I will test, I will likely wait until 12dpo. I'm so not team green;) if our next child is a boy I think I'll be Team green for #3. Sorry this is running together, I'm on my phone.

  • Update: Today is 2dpiui.  As I posted below, I developed a UTI yesterday, which sucks.  Everything else has gone well this cycle though, so I'm crossing my fingers.

QOTD: In the first 3.5 years of TTC, I POAS exactly four times - twice I was actually pregnant.  After my m/c we determined that I would need to take progesterone with subsequent pregnancies, so now I do test early during treatment cycles so I can start it ASAP.  I usually test at about 12dpiui.

It wasn't too hard to restrain myself before because I have always been very regular and get very clear PMS signs ahead of time.  I hate seeing those stark white tests!

And we were team green with Nora and if/when we're successful for #2 we will be again.  Having DH announce it when she was born was really cool.  : )

  • Hello ladies :) Update on us is that I'm just chugging along. I feel horribly sick most days but right now is a good moment.  I'm not able to keep much (any) food down but fruit smoothies seems to be ok.  At least for right now.

QOTD: I'm a POASer.  I usually test out the trigger and then keep on going.  I didn't spend much time pre-RE peeing on sticks and seeing negatives since I never ovulated anyway so I didn't have too much negative association built up with pee sticks.  But as much as I love POAS we are totally team green people.  Even with these three.  Because really with triplets what kind of planning can you do?  Cribs -check.  Carseats - check.  Done.

holy crap!  you're going to have to pick out SIX names if you go team green!  You are amazing :)  DH and I would explode from curiousity...especially if there were more than one! :)

Either you update here, or I'm going to have to start paging all pregnant ladies to tell me how they are doing :)  I need to know these things!
  • Update:well...I've o'd...i think.  so I'm calling officially in the 2WW...but i might be either 4 dpo (most likely) or 10 dpo (not likely, but i got a flukey opk reading on christmas). I've been having lots of phantom pg symptoms, just because now I'm analyzing everything..and because my ovaries are working, I'm feeling lots of "things" inside..

    so...

QOTD:  poas will commence on the 11th, unless I feel reason to start earlier due to the confusion.

I didn't POAS much with the first, AF usually showed up early to prevent me from wasting my time.  But now that I have found internet cheapies...I'm a bit of a poas-aholic.  why not, right?  (and we are definitely not a team green sort of family! I'd love to do a cool gender reveal like Armywife did :)

  • Update: Still on a break. We decided we won't go back to the RE until May-ish.

QOTD: I'm a POAS addict! Last cycle I started at 6dpo. Who does that?

  • QOTD: I wouldn't be except for the fact that my RE waits for 14dp5dt for a beta, which is far too long, in my opinion. I did wait to POAS until 9dpt, so I'm not a crazy POASer. :)

Update: Just had an u/s today - little bean looks great: measuring right on track and with a heartbeat of 185! :)

  • Update on me: Today will be my last Lupron shot!  I should be starting stims tomorrow.

QOTD: I wait until my beta.  IVF #2 taught me a lesson.  I POAS and they were all negative.  Went in for my official beta the next day and it was positive.  Though it ended up chemical.  But I was also a Team Greener.  And I loved it and would do it all over again.

Yes, that part will be hard.  But I have a feeling we don't need six.  Not really.  I have one boy's name I really want, DH knows that and we agreed on it from before.  And he has one more girl's name he wants.  So that's two.  I'd be shocked if we have BBB or GGG, I've already decided they are GGB.  So we will just roll with what we have and decide in the hospital.  Or you know...sometime between now and then.

ooh!  i LOVE it when people have a feeling about what they are having!  I wished that I had had that!  very cool!
  • Can you please add me to the list? We are now trying on our own until we can save up enough $$ to back to the RE.

  • Well this cycle was a BFN surprise surprise. AF showed up on new years day what a great way to start out the year. I'm on CD 5 and hopefully soon will be making my RE appointment. I try to wait for AF to be late before I POAS don't always make it though. And we are defiantly not team green people. I could not find out soon enough last time.

  • Update:  Yes, in the 2ww so nothing to report.  I have been trying to wean somewhat.  You need to be finished bf'ing before doing injs, right? So I'm thinking I'll give myself/him until May and then I will have to officially cut him off so I can do treatments in June.

QOTW: I am not a POASer, mostly because I am cheap and I'd feel like I was wasting tests.  Plus my temps are pretty easy to tell when I am not pg anyway.  Sometimes I feel like I am making things worse for myself by having hope longer (until temps drop.) But on the other hand I feel like it would be really depressing to know so far in advance of AF, kwim?   Usually when I know for sure I'm not pg, AF shows up the next day and I can transition right back into that hopeful beginning of cycle phase.

And yes, I'm a team greener too :)

QOTD:  I'm actually not a poas-holic.   Even with TTC since 4/07 I've only POAS less than 10 times total.   I was always so regular I never suspected I was pg.  My successful IVF attempts I waited until 12dp ER.  My unsuccessful IVF I got my period before beta so I didn't even have a chance to test.   And I am totally NOT team green :)

QOTD: I was a POASer once I got my BFP.  I think I used 7 tests within 4 days.  DH thought I was crazy.  I restrain myself now, but not having any in the house.  I am also not a team green kind of person.  I need to know.

  • Can I jump in? Our son is turing 2 in April, so I'm back for IUI #2.

I'm anovulatory, so I started progesterone tonight to trigger a period, so we should get started on meds in about two weeks. I'm actually excited about starting those awful Menopur shots:)

And no, no POAS for me until I absolutely have to. I like to hold out hope right up until the end.
