When did you get your BFP?

Hi ladies, I'm pretty much a lurker on this board, but had a question I thought better answered here rather than in TTC.  I have been off BC for about six months now and have been trying to get to know my cycle.  My husband and I have just recently began trying to BD around the "ovulation days" I figure out based on EWCM.  I haven't started temping yet, but will begin once I have CD1 this time around.  My cycles after BC have gotten longer, but I thought I had them figured out - 29,29, 33, 32, 40, and waiting on the next CD1, which was supposed to be today.  I have only been tracking ovulation by EWCM obviously, but wanted to know if any of you tested the day you missed your period getting a BFN and then got a BFP later?  Based on the stupid ovulation charts, which I know are inaccurate and my EWCM, I would have ovulated around 12/21.  Since I don't know for sure we did BD EOD from CD12 through last week.  I have been pretty tired, crampy and very moody, but those are also all signs AF could be coming too.

I'm now just waiting for AF to show up so I can get this cycle over with and temp or another couple days to test.  Any of you go through a similar thing?  I guess I'm just looking for a little history on those that have tested later and received a BFP and hadn't seen a post.  Thanks!

I did forget to mention, maybe it doesn't matter...my last CD1 was 11/27, so today would be CD40.  I got a BFN this morning.

I wasn't temping my cycles but went by EWCM which isn't completely accurate for everyone because i got it all the time. My cycles were also getting longer, the one before BFP was 45 I believe. I finally tested on CD41 and got a BFP in the evening on what ended up being 3w4d pregnant, or about 10 days after ovulation. I had no idea I had ovulated that late until an early u/s dated the baby at 4w3d about a week after my BFP.

Good luck! Iwould definitely start temping. Much more accurate than just CM.

I had two instances when I got a light BFP but both ended in a cp.  This time, I tested at 11dpo and got a BFP on both a FRER and digitals.  I am sure it happens though that some women get a BFN and then test later and get a BFP... I just was never that lucky!  I hope it works out for you... FX!

I got a BFP on CD 47 (my "normal" cycle is about 30 days but I have never charted).  I have an u/s scheduled in a couple of weeks so I'll know for sure then when I actually ovulated/conceived.

More than likely you ovulated much later than you thought.  Hope you get your BFP and if not sounds like a perfect time to start temping.  I'm sure you will feel much more "in control" about TTC when you are temping (I was planning to start next cycle too).  GL.

I tested 12dpo just for the heck of it and was surprised by my BFP. I wasn't charting but I was using the CBEFM.

Cycle length really doesn't matter in "when" you get a BFP.  You may have had a 40 day cycle before, but if you O'ed on CD 35 this time around you may only be 5DPO (for example).

But to answer your question, I got my BFP on CD 24 (12dpo)

I was temping, so I know that I got my BFP at (11 DPO) 3w4d, 5 days before AF was due. But I've heard of plenty of people not getting BFP until after AF is late, anything is possible!

I think I ovulated early based on CM and nothing else. I tested on CD 23 and got a faint positive. I wasn't sure so I tried again on CD 24 and got a negative. On CD 25 I got a perfect blue line.
