How was your day at school? I enjoyed seeing my kindergarteners, who seemed to have a great break. My LO started at a new daycare today, so it was hard to leave him (I teared up several times on the way there). They said hehad a good day!
Awful to put it mildly. DD was sick the entire week we were off and last night was the worst of it. She had a horrible night and finally fell asleep at 6 am when she was supposed to be getting up for DC so DH stayed home and waited until she got up. I was so upset that I coudn't just stay home and let her relax. To top it all off I had an impromptu visit from the asst principal and asst supt. GREAT!

Better than I expected, but DH is a professor and is off until Jan 17th so I didn't have to get Violet or her older sister up and ready this morning. That made it much easier to get going. The day itself wasn't bad, but coming home I was very tired to have two crazy kids!
It was ok. One of my close friends came back from maternity leave today, so it was great seeing her. We are turning the English department into one big group pumping session! My kids were fairly well behaved, the admin was doing walk-throughs, but never came into my room. I missed L like crazy all day, so I was glad to get home!
I did not want to go back and was crying over it last night. Avery was up lots during the night because she is all constipated since starting solids, and I was on the verge of tears at school this morning because I really just wish I could be staying home right now. My students were surprisingly good today, so that was nice.
Pooksmom, I would die! I am dreading a surprise visit this year because I feel so unproductive and not on my game like I usually am. Blah!
No surprise visits for me, but an icky day for sure. I missed by DS terribly and he didn't want to take the bottle from DC provider. I didn't even give him 1 bottle over break, so that is my fault. My heat in my classroom is broken and I live in upstate NY where it was 8 degrees this morning! I froze all day and during my lunch break, my teacher computer started acting up and then shut down. Apparently, I now have a virus of some sort and it won't be fixed until Thursday. But, no worries, I don't need any of my grades, documents, or Smartboard lessons....Grrr....Hoping tomorrow is a better day!

Avery was refusing the bottle before break, so we switched to stage 2 nipples finally and she took twice as much today as usual! Just an idea if you haven't switched. I was nervous because I thought you weren't supposed to use the faster flow if you were bfing. They are still the breastflow bottles though, just faster.
My heat was also out this morning. Apparently someone tried to break into the science building over break by climbing on the roof and going through the ductwork and messed it up. Crazy!
I would die without heat! I live in Idaho where the high today was supposed to 49, and I still crank up my heat. Caleb has been fussy about bottles, but he is at least still taking them. We use medium flow nipples. It sucks being away from LO. Anyone starteda countdown to the end of the year?
I counted down to spring break today. I think there are 12 weeks. I can't wait! I have such a bad attitude about work/teaching right now. I need to get over it!
The students were good for the most part, though they were livid they had homework...whatever. As far as me, sad as heck. DH took all break off too and didnt want to go back. Looking at the brightside, I am halfway to summer, May 16th cant come fast enough!
On a positive note DC was ectastic to see L, makes the transition so much better.

My middle schoolers were excited to be back, so that helped a lot. However, the night before DS peed through everything. I went to change him before feeding him and he cried like he cried when he was first born. You know, that loud, awful cry. I couldn't stop thinking about it all day. Needless to say, I needed lots of smiles and cuddles from DS last night.
Re: Teacher Mommas - How was your first day back?
A visit on the first day back that is just cruel.
