Ok perhaps that was a tad dramatic but seriously what did your Dr's say you could take during a cold? I didn't think to ask like an idiot when I went in last time (probably because I wasn't dying of a cold) and the office is closed today. I'm reading conflicting reports. Web Md says one thing but the What to Expect books are telling me another. What do you guys think? Mostly its congestion and a gnarly cough.
Re: Help me before this cold kills me....
The paper my OB gave me said for congestion I could take Actifed, Sudafed, Tylenol Cold Products or use a saline nasal spray. For a cough it says to take plain robitussin 1 tsp every 4 hours.
Over Christmas I had a bad cold and I was using the Neti Pot with Distilled water and I took Tylenol cold at night.
This OB seems much more lienent than the OB I had with my first two children. That OB said only Sudafed. (I moved to a different state) Did your OB give you any paperwork or anything when you went for your first appointment that would have the information on it?
