kindle fire- slow internet

Just thought I would share what I figured out. My fire is driving me crazy as the Internet browser will work great for a few minutes, then take forever to load pages. Apparently the default settings are slowing it down, and turning off 'accelerated browsing' helps. Mine has been doing the same thing. Takes forever to load the homepage for a site but once that is loaded, I can browse within the site with no problem. I'll have to try this. Thanks!
