we're calling about test results....

why oh why don't I ever check my messages...I checked my cell today and the dr had left a message they were calling about my test results from my first visit...what could it be? I know a million things and probably nothing...anyone else have the dr call about your first appts test results? hoping the dr is open tomorrow so I can call

I went in for lab work after a few days of spotting and they called just to let me know that everything was ok. Maybe they know that mommies to be are nerotic worriers and wanted to give you a call to let you know that everything is ok.

I have always been called after I have had bloodwork done. They were probably just calling to tell you what your results were.

my dr doesn't call unless there is a problem...at least they didn't the last 2 two times I was pregnant

Try not to worry (easier said than done, I know).

With first pregnancy, I got a message like that and had to call back after an agonizing lunch hour.  Turns out I am a carrier for the Cystic Fibrosis gene; thankfully it turns out DH is not so it was not an issue but we didn't know that at the time (DH had to go get tested once we found out I was a carrier). 

I get bloodwork done at every appointment with this pregnancy since I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, and I always get a call back, even when b/w is fine/normal.  It freaked me out the first few times but I am used to it now.  The messages are never, "everything is fine!" - they are always "please give us a call back to discuss your bloodwork."
