Has anyone had a successful PG after super high betas that dropped? Maybe started as multiples and

An IF friend of mine got a positive beta after her last IVF.  Her first beta was 613(14dpo) and her second was 1600+ (16dpo).  Her betas were amazing.  Her third beta was 4400+ and it should have been in the 6000 range.  She had a fourth beta the day after her third and it had dropped to 1800+.  Is there anyone whose been pg with multiples and lost one and continued on to have a healthy singleton pregnancy? Does anyone think that could be the case with betas like this?

I'm heartbroken for her because this just really looked like it would be the pregnancy that stuck after 3 years, 5 ivfs and 3 losses.  I want to hold out hope that there is a little fighter in there that is hanging on.  She is having an u/s tomorrow so she'll know then.

I just can't stand the thought that she will have to go through another loss especially after thinking that it was finally going to happen for her.

I don't remember what my #'s were but my 1st beta was high. It tripled in 48 hours and then again. I was convinced I had 2 or 3 brewing. My next one went up but not by much and I was spotting. I was terrified. At my US there was a sac that stopped developing, causing the numbers to slack off. I hope this is the case with your friend.
