Heading to a friends house for a NYE party, it's going to be pretty low key since we are all bringing our kiddos, but I want to bring a fun pregnant friendly beverage! I loved gin and tonics so there is always just tonic water with lime, but that's not very fun! What's everyone drinking tonight????
I have been "imbibing" on Shirley Temples for the last month or so.
The other day, I ordered one at the local pub and it wasn't just sprite/ginger ale with grenadine and cherries. They put ginger ale, some orange juice and the grenadine. It looked more like a grown up drink and the OJ really cut the sweetness of the sprite. It was great. Plus, let's face it...it is always great to get cherries in a drink:)

Ooh - that sounds good!
No siggy pic until TB gets rid of Twitter and FB links
I love these 2 brands of 'drier' sodas with interesting flavours -- Bottle Green makes an elderflower sparkling soda that ALMOST tastes kind of boozy, and Dry Soda has flavours like lavender and vanilla bean ( bonus...they only have 4 ingredients, no crazy chemicals!). You can get them at health food and gourmet stores here in Canada, not sure if they're more common in the US. What I miss about alcohol (esp. wine) is how 'complex' the flavor is, and these sodas are the closest to that complexity I've missed in wine.
