One size generally don't fit a newborn. Ours didn't fit until LO was 7 weeks old. I bought newborn sized diapers to use for the first few weeks - I got them used.
I prefer pockets to all-in-ones. Easier to get clean and dry, but still one piece to put on.
One size diapers also appealed to me. Most here would suggest getting a few different kinds to try them out. I'm starting with prefolds and newborn covers, but I have a flip one size cover I'm going to try out before I invest all my money in them. I may get some pockets and fitteds to try first to see which kind I like best.
I suggest lurking for a while to see what other mamas are saying about different diapers and the kinds of problems (and successes) they have. If you have a local cloth diaper store, they might also be able to help you with what kind of diapers may be best for you and your baby.
I typically don't like AIO's due to the cost. Most OS diapers don't fit newborns, but it also depends on the size of your newborn and the brand of OS you have.
