'11 days old today, '12 tomorrow... (quick birth story)
Sorry I'm late, we've been a little busy... 
We had our twins on the 20th, after my OB found me at my 36w4d appt. to be 3cm dilated, 80% effaced, contracting and bag bulging. By the time we got to the hospital, I was 5cm dilated, 100% effaced, and baby A's foot was already in the birth canal (but his bag was still intact). He had been frank breech (butt down) for two months, but somehow managed to kick his way out. They had the babies out in less than a hour via CS, which compared to my cerclage removal on the 16th (which took all day and an epidural) was really fast.
Alistair William Ratan S. was born at 5:06pm and was 5 lbs. 7 oz and 18.25 in.
Marielle Claire Patricia S. was born at 5:07pm and was 6 lbs. 1 oz. and 19 in.
We avoided the NICU, and came home on Christmas Eve and are settling into living our lives in 2-3 hour intervals. 
Not to scare anyone who needs one, but I underestimated the impact of a CS. When they say it is major surgery, they aren't joking. I didn't think it could possibly be harder to get around than when I was measuring 48 wks pregnant, but it is, so prepare yourself. Starting to feel better, and we are on cloud 9.

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.
