I am sad

DD and DH just left to go on an overnight trip with our friends and their kids.  We have spent the last 10 or so New Years with this other couple, and our kids get along well.  DS woke up with a fever of 103, so I am stuck at home, while DH and DD get to go hiking and to a resort for the night with our friends.  The reservation is non refundable and not going at all would not be fun for any of us, so it made the most sense for one of us to stay home.  DS is sitting on the sofa saying "Mommy, I feel better, and I want to go with Daddy, RIGHT NOW!" over and over again.  He doesn't want to miss the fun either. 

I hate sick, but I really hate sick holidays.

aw poor guy.  'maybe you can plan some fun and out of the ordinary things you can do w/ him at home.

That sucks.  We have a sick household too and had to cancel our plans

That sucks!  That's my biggest fear everytime I make a reservation for a week/weekend away that the kids don't get sick right before we have to go on it.

Make the most of it and run to get a few movies, or order on demand.  Eat popcorn, nachos... let him drink pop (my kids rarely get it, so it is a huge treat.

Poor thing! I hope he's feeling better soon and y'all have a good NYE anyway. Sick holidays are the worst!
