Hi.
I found out two weeks ago that i was pregnant. I went to have it professionally confirmed and they said i was 5 weeks and 3 days as of 12/15/11. this means that i should be 7 weeks and 4 days, but they said i had a due date of 8/20, which would put me at 6 weeks right now.
Then i went to the OBGYN where i will be getting treatment on 12/21/11. They made me take another test to confirm and also took blood samples. They said i was 7 weeks and had a due date of 8/19, which is one day BEFORE the previous.
How is it that i was told two different things but then based on the timeline everywhere else, it is saying i am 6 weeks?
Also, i had a weird "period". I am very regular, but had an extremely light one on November 11th and it lasted on and off for about 4 days. I took a pregnancy test at that time and it came up negative. Then, when i missed mine for december it of course came up positive. Was that implantation bleeding or a regular period??
Im so confused. lol. Can anyone help with this? Has this ever happened to anyone?
Re: implantation bleeding/different dates???
BFP#1 10 wk missed mc
BFP#2 DS born at 40+2 on 8/14/12 BFP#3 DD Born at 39+3 on 5/13/14
I'm pretty sure she knows that she isn't going to give birth ON THAT DAY just because they say so. Due dates are always an estimate and not the point of her questions at all.
I see what you're saying. If you were meauring 7 weeks on 12/21, then someone has obviously screwed up your due date. When is your next ultrasound?
Well when i went in, it was a confirmation of pregnancy and they took blood samples. they scheduled my next appointment for January 13th..somewhere around there i would have to look.
I think that the light "period" was implantation bleeding. normally, my periods are really heavy for 4-5 days, but this was pink/bright red blood that was on and off lightly for 4 days. when i tested negative, could it be i was already pregnant, but the hormones werent detected yet bc it was too early???? Bc if that is the case and that wasnt my actual period, then the first date of my last period would have been in october not november, which changes the whole scenario.
We cannot possibly answer this for you. You need to just wait for your appointment.
