Hi!!!  I noticed in one of your replies below that you had your tubes tied.  Way to go!  I wanted to do this, but didn't really get a chance to ask my dr about it before I had my "emergency" c-section.  I ended up going with Mirena, but I'm still seriously thinking about getting my tubes tied at some point.  May I ask how your experience has been?  Any side effects?  Did you have it done when the girls were born or later?

LOVE the girls in their halloween costumes!  So cute!  We just bought B & K's outfits this past weekend (better late than never) . . . I need to get some new pics uploaded.

  • Hi ya! I am very very happy with the decision to tie. I have had no problems. In fact, my first few periods after words were the easiest things ever. I have some ovulation cramping now and then, but I assume that's from the PCOS crap. I did have it done when the girls were born, but my BFF had it done just recently and hasn't had any issues. (she has three kids all ready) She said she was a little tender, but it wasn't anything like the section.

What did you get for your kiddos? Get their pictures in there!! :)

  • Good to know!  My BFF had it done with her last c/s and that was my plan, but I had issues w/my OB and never got around to asking about side effects, recovery, etc.  I had really weird cycles & cramps before (but hated the pill b/c of weight gain), so I wasn't sure what to expect with a tubal . . . my c/s ended up being such a whirlwind that I didn't really even think to bring it up until it was all over.  D'oh!  I just switched OBs and went for my annual yesterday, but the Mirena has finally started to work for me (I was spotting for what seemed like forever and was thisclose to getting it out, but now I've gone 6 weeks without AF - NICE!).  So I think I may wait until B&K are a little older and really look into getting the tubes tied.  I am 10000% sure I do not ever want to go through pregnancy again!!

After a long, long search for something cool for Halloween (DH wanted B & K to go as Sonny & Cher), we ended up with a bee costume for Kendyll & a dog costume for Bennett.  Or as my DH says, Kendyll is going as the girl from the "Blind Melon" video from the '90s.  LOL!  I'll try to snap some pictures tonight, I promise!

  • The Sonny and Cher would have been great, but I bet they are just going to be adorable....
