I know spotting / brown discharge can be common but when it is happening - you are just scared. Sorry in advance if this is TMI - Last night I went to the bathroom to find brown discharge in my underwear and some very light spotting. The only other spotting was when I would wipe. This morning it seemed to have stopped but I just went to the bathroom again and noticed the spotting again when I wiped.

Please tell me this is going to be ok. I am 7 weeks today.

Hope all is okay! I had two brief episodes of bright red bleeding at 4 weeks and 5 weeks 3 days and all is well! Hope it stops ASAP!! T&Ps coming your way!! I know how scary it is.

I had that same exact thing from 6-8 weeks...I'm 11 weeks today! GL!

If it's light and brown and not accompanied by cramping, it is probably completely fine. I had bleeding (not just spotting) earlier this week that was red and brown and it has stopped and they did an u/s and the baby looked fine. Big deep breaths.  ((hug))

I spotted brown and pink off and on all the way to 9 weeks. I even had an episode of bleeding that sent me to the ER, and both babies are fine! Call your doc if you're worried, and they can reassure you. Fingers crossed everything is fine!

I had brownish reddish spotting at the 5 to 6 week mark too.  On and off for about 5 days.  Very scary.  Hang in there, I hope it's nothing.

It is very scary. So sorry you are going through this. I have had the same thing twice now. The RE said 1/3 of women experience spotting during early pregnancy. Unless it is in conjunction with really bad cramps you should be fine. when is your next u/s? call and see if they will you in so you can breathe again knowing everything is fine.

I had spotting off and on all through those early weeks.  I hope everything is fine for you like it was for me!

GL! I was diagnosed with a subchorionic bleed at 6w2d and have been spotting on and off since then. I had one major bleeding episode where I went to the ER  at 7w and they said my babies were fine, and to just take it easy.

I am 8w5d now and go to the doc on Tuesday (9w2d) and hopefully they continue to tell me my babies are doing great!

Sending T&P your way!  I had the same thing at 6 & 7 weeks and had u/s that showed the babies were fine.  My RE said she see's it in about 70% of her IVF patients.  I also think I read somewhere it could be due to progesterone medication if you are taking that.  I know it's scary, but keep your hope up.

Thanks Ladies - hearing your responses made me feel better than speaking to the nurse at my RE's office. She said it doesn't sound like anything to be overly concerned about and she isn't worried (glad she isn't cause I sure as heck am!) I have another u/s on Tuesday (3rd one) and they will check everything out. I was told that as long as I am not cramping really bad or bleeding heavily, that everything should be ok. IF has surely screwed me up - I think we should get a free pass to a clear and easy pregnancy after what we had to do to get to this point.

Thanks again ladies, I appreciate your T & P's as well as your positive stories - they really comforted me through out the day.

T&Ps that all is okay! I know it is incredibly nerve-wracking. I had a small amount of bright red bleeding at 9w followed by brown spotting. An ultrasound in the ER and then the following day at the RE's showed 2 heartbeats and the source of the bleeding could never be identified (though thankfully, it stopped). They do say that unexplained bleeding is more common with multiples, but I know that doesn't make it less nerve-wracking.
