Still using white noise?

Is anyone still using white noise at night and for naps? Like, continuously?

We have used it since we discovered HBOTB and noticed she slept longer with it. I'm wondering though, when will I know she doesn't need it anymore? It does great at nap time for muffling out the neighborhood kids and dogs, or my husband doing whatever around the house... But I'm wondering if she'll always need it.

Our Homedics Mini sound thing (rain settling) kind of goes right through me - listening to it. I'm wondering if it's just as annoying to her? I was going to ask her Pedi about it next week (about her sleep habits/routine in general), but wondered what you all do?

    I still use it.

But we use the " ocillating (sp?) fan" mode, on an old iPhone on airplane mode. .  Last night I forgot it and she slept for a while before I went in and turned it on.

It seems to calm her, bc we put it on in the car as well on her car seat and she stops crying and falls asleep.

We just started last month (first I just turned on the radio to white noise but was freaked out by the random stations/ voices being picked up when listening to the monitor... now we have the sleep sheep). Anyway, it helps her get into that first round of sleep and up until last week. I will probably use it at night for a while longer.

I still use it, and I plan to indefinitely.  I don't want to have to tiptoe around here after she goes to bed and sometimes my one dog barks a lot.  I know plenty of adults who prefer white noise while they sleep (I'm not one of them, but DH was...I broke him of it), so I figure it is NBD.  My niece who is seven still uses a white noise machine, but my sister said it hasn't been a problem when she's had to sleep elsewhere without it.

yes, and will for as long as I need to.  I mean, I still use white noise in the form of a ceiling fan.  I can not sleep in a room that is completely quiet.  so, I see nothing wrong with my kids using white noise either.

Yes, b/c I am now hooked on it.  We used it with our first LO and I haven't been able to sleep without it ever since.  I use the nature sounds app on my iphone.

We still use it some. We don't usually use it at night unless she is having trouble, but we still use it for naps during the day. It's mostly nice to help cover other noises, like the dog barking or people talking. We have a CD that has wave noises.

We still use our marpac machine.  Not sure if she'd notice it gone or not.  When we have to do naps elsewhere (like at holidays) we bring a Graco one and it definitely makes a difference since the rest of the environment is different.

BUT she won't have one at daycare so my guess is she'll start to get used to not having it -- at least I hope so.

We never used one until we transitioned him to his crib last week.  I don't even know if he really needs it because he really is a great sleeper and went straight to the crib just fine.  We bought the Graco one and I'll put it on anyway to the music setting, and set it for one hour.  After one hour, the music goes off, but the night light stays on for him.
