Cloth Diapering

Nighttime disaster!

Hi ladies, I'm hoping someone can help me out.  My son is a SUPER heavy wetter at night.  We were using BG's with extra inserts and changing him once per night, but he started peeing out of them a few weeks ago so we switched to disposables at night.  He even leaks out of those!  We have to change his sheets almost every night now.

I've heard that fitteds + wool covers are great for nighttime heavy wetters, but the wool covers are so expensive!  I would love to try them but can't justify spending $60-80 on two covers plus some extra fitteds if they might not work.  Can anybody tell me where to get cheap wool?  Or maybe another alternative?

  • Have you tried looking on Spots Corner? People destash wool all the time there.
  • did you try ebay?

Check out the Katrina pattern for soakers and I use the arms of sweaters for longies (I also use the diamond idea from Joy's longies in between the arms/legs). Fitteds with wool is the only thing that keeps my super soaker's bed dry at night. We like Bububebe with a hemp insert and also Old School Cool fitteds.

  • In case you can't find any real wool at your thrift shops (like I couldn't), you can also try Ocean Babies on Etsy for inexpensive upcycled wool. She does a great job.
