So it finally snowed here yay...not and just going in and out i have been tracking salt in on my shoes and stroller, I keep cleaning it up and wipe the stroller wheels but im worried that i might miss a piece and with DD crawling around the whole main floor she might find one and eat it since she eats ever speck she finds. What do you do or think?
We live in a city, and although we have a garage, it also doesn't open into our house (nor do we use it for our cars, haha) and we are generally just coming in from the street. We are lucky enough to have a small tiled section at our front door, so I usually leave the stroller behind the door on the tile. I was also planning on getting a rack for shoes to put near the door as the weather gets worse so we, and any visitors, do not track snow, salt, mud, etc. through the house where our little guy can munch on it. Thankfully he doesn't go near the front door too often while he's crawling around, but even if he does, having all of that stuff in one location makes it easier to keep him away. Even if you don't have a somewhat designated area, you could always create one - maybe try using a super yard to house all of those items, or a hard plastic mat (like one for under office chairs, so also easy to clean) to place the stroller and shoes on. Unfortunately, as careful as we all may be, those of us who live in snowy climates are in for a long season of constant cleaning!

Our front hall is how you describe, I do put the stroller and shoes in the closet but the salt is already in, i do my best to clean it up im just worried it will stick on my socks or DD will crawl into that area, I guess a gate is possible but i would still think salt would get tracked.
Re: Shoes, snow and salt
Our garage doesn't open to the house, so i guess vaccuming constantly is my only option
