Ah, so cute. I love seeing people from cold climates in California in December, it is truly so cute. Everyone that lives here is dying to break out our "winter" wear that we got for Christmas, despite it being 75 degrees. So all the natives are in scarves and UGG boots, while the tourists are in shorts and sandals (the white legs are a dead give away...) and SO happy to be wearing summer clothes in December.
I was on my way to a popular southern California mall (it's also a tourist destination) and saw a bunch of midwesterners/eastern folks walk (another give away, we don't walk in LA, lol) to the mall.
When I worked at Disneyland, I'd see a lot of mid/east coast tourists due to people coming out for the Rose Bowl and Rose Parade. Y'all are in such great moods to be among palm trees and sun! Reminds me why I enjoy living here.
Carry on.

That's funny
I was one of those people in San Fran a few weeks ago. It was 4 degrees when I left home (MN), and it was around 60 in the places I was visiting. I was in a t-shirt and everyone in the city had one winter coats and boots and scarves! We've had a pretty mild winter here this year, but 60 and sunny and palm trees was heavenly to me!
And vise versa!
Seeing a southerner up here in winter all bundled up while we walk around in just a sweatshirt because we're having a 35 degree heat wave is hilarious, too.
I've been to CA in December once, over Christmas, and it actually snowed! The whole town shut down for 2" of snow and literally every yard in the neighborhood had people out trying to make a snowman. It was hilarious.
This cracks me up as well. People wear shorts around here the first time we hit 40 in spring!

OMG, you can spot a tourist year around. Starting with the bright white legs to the clothes that they must think we wear here (hawaiian shirts anyone?). It is shorts weather today so I will give them a little bit of a pass.
When did you work at Disneyland? I was there for nine too-long years. I got pretty good at guessing where people were from based on their tourist gear!
