Your H is an attorney so could you ask his opinion on online wills. Are they binding enough to hold up in court? That is what people are suggesting we do, but since we are dealing with guardianship I want it airtight.
i wish i could be joking but my dad is the music teacher at a church so he owuld be mad. we had sex, all the time how bad i know but we dont want to wait and he said GREAT OH KAY! and I was really feeling the wets? down there- too embarsed to say- but he acted like man.

Re: LilyPotter

  • I totally have to butt in here.  Maybe LilyPotter will answer too... I am an estate planning attorney, and I have to say that I have seen so many issues with online wills and other forms, that I would say it is definitely worth going to an attorney to make sure your documents are done properly.  Sometimes the biggest issue we see is that the wills aren't properly completed/signed, so they're rendered totally invalid.

  • I appreciate that. Now I have to find someone who won't charge us an arm and a leg. We currently don't have any property or assets so it is all guardianship, burial and things like that. We will update it after we own and house and get life insurance.

  • I agree. He hates those online forms. It's not the form itself but as PP said, the process to sign and file the appropriate paperwork. I would call multiple attorneys and find one who will work with you on cost. No need to pay a partner in a firm $450/HR when something like this is easily knocked out by a young associate for 1/4 the cost :)
  • Sorry, butting into your post, but in most areas you can contact your local (either state or county) bar association and they can recommend attorneys in your area that handle estate planning.  Often there will be a free initial consultation, so you can get idea of what you need and how much it will cost.
