Holidays are a mind f#*$k.

I've notice that many of us are upset over how the holiday went down.

 

a few things.

 

1: many kids, s/n or not, freak out over over the ruckus of the holiday.

2: The pressure for kids to like their gifts and for it to be al magical is a bunch of BS. Some kids throw theri gifts on the floor and complain they don't like 'em or didn't ask for them. Some kids don't play with their toys. There are often disappointments in teh way the holiday goes for all families, not just S/N families.

3. It's over now. Phew. We can go back to our regularly scheduled program and recover from the disappointment and chaos. Hooray!

The holidays are rough for my kid also bc of his anxiety and being around a lot of people and then extended family he hardly sees, etc.
