naptime help please

I am at my wit's end with naptime.  L just won't take a nap.  I know he needs it because he is super cranky in the evenings.  He naps at school just fine.  He won't nap here ever since we set up the big bed for him.  He won't even just do quiet time.  He bangs on the door.  He kicks at the wall.  He cries and yells for mama.  He opens and shuts the door a million times.  Usually he does eventually fall asleep on the floor by the door.

I don't know what to do!Crying  I'm sick of fighting it.  I need my 2 hours of me time in the afternoon to get things done.  He needs a nap.  What do I do?  Any help, advice, anything would help.

  • The only way he will take a nap is if we happen to be in the car. Sorry it does suck

  • This is why Kate is still in a crib.  She only naps about once every 3 days, but she does have quiet time for 2 hours every afternoon.  When she figures out how to escape the crib, I'm going to cry.  Or build a cage.

L was on the verge of climbing out...that's why we went to the bed.  I wish he was still in the crib.
