Ages 5 and 3.5 are the magic numbers

Now I realize the issue this morning..Natalie needed Owen to play with.

Anyway, at this age now they can spend hours actually just playing imaginary games together. It is so awesome! They actually make up the cutest little pretend scenarios. They were in our master bedroom re-creating my birthday morning when they brought me cards and breakfast in bed. Natalie was playing my role. Stick out tongue

They just cruised by me with their backpacks on because they "are going camping."

I love it!

  • Only 3.5 more years to go...Wink

  • Awe, they are precious. I can't wait until DS has a sibling relationship like that.
  • Only one more year to go.........

  • Cute!  My girls play together for hours now (1.75yrs & 4), the older one is always in charge & DD#2 is great at going along...guess I am lucky.;o)

  • That's great Chrisy! Both of my kids like to lead when they are together so having them work together is a big step for them. They've always liked to play together it use to involve much more arguing and crying and it wasn't as mature in terms of imagination as it is now. Now they'll each take on a "role" like one being me and one DH or they'll be a dog and a cat or their cousins etc. It's neat to see them make up these imaginary scenarios.
  • I beg to differ.  My kids (ages 3.5 and 6) are not, and have never been that way...they like to bicker and irritate eachother the most.  They may last 30 minutes max actually playing together and getting along.  Wink
