Luke Bryan Smith's Birth Story!! Induction..

Well I went to my regular week check up, and my doctor told me that they were going to induce me the very next morning at 5 A.M.  because I had to much Protein in my urine, and it was making my kidney's work to hard. I have been 1 centimeter dialited already. Well the next Morning my mom, and my husband and I went to the hospital and they got me ready and prepped for the IV and all. And got me induced. they uped it each time. I was having quite a bit of Contractions. Which was hurting very badly. After a while the nurse and doctor came in to check me to see if i had dialited anymore, which i did. I was than 4 centimeter's. And they gave me some medicine to help me with the Contractions. I was feeling pretty good by now. lol It was a while later than that they came in again and checked on me and uped it again and it was at 30, and I told them that i wanted a Epidural now. And they told me that i had to wait another hour and a half before i could get it, cause the one person that was doing it was in a c- section. So than he finally came and gave me my Epidural and i was doing better. Than after that i felt like i was peeing and the doctor and nurse came back in to check to see if i dialited anymore? Cause they were going to break my water. and I did I was 10 centimeters. I told the doctor that i felt like i was peeing and she said no your not your water broke already by itself. And after that, the doctor told me that the baby's head was down there already and was ready to come out. So than we started pushing to every contraction. i was so ready for the baby to be out. hehe  I pushed and pushed and finally the baby was out. I was so happy to meet him for the first time. My mom and husband told me that i had him out with only 10 contractions. He was born on December 6, 2011 at 7 pm on the dot. Weighed in at 8lbs 2 Oz. and 22 inches long. And of course was a healthy baby boy!! We Named him Luke Bryan Smith..

   Were doing good. He is just a happy little baby boy! We love him so much and couldn't be any happier.. I took him to his first doctor's appointment and found out that he has an ear infection, a cold in his eye, and thrush. So I have been giving him medication for all of it that the doctor gave me. He is on 3 different medications. And than I took him to the doctors just last week again, because i noticed that his poor little butt was sore and red, and that he had a diaper rash. A pretty bad one. So than the doctor gave me some cream for his butt to put on him 3 times daily. It starting to heal up but its still red. When he was at the doctor's they said he weighed back in at his birth weight cause he lost some of it after wards, he weighed 7lbs 12 1/2 Oz. But my husband and I took him to the ER last night cause his poor little butt was pretty red and had blisters and was starting to bleed i noticed last night. So we got him looked at and they said he was alright and just let it air dry most of the time and keep putting his medicine on it and it will take a couple weeks to heal.

      Well than we found out that he weighed 9lbs last night. So he is doing good, other than the other things. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow at 10:15 for a check up to see how he is doing with everything. So hopefully the doctor says everything looks better and that he is on his way to recovery..   I hate seeing him like this and hurting. I wished i could take it away.     Sorry for the long story..

Sounds like you have been having a challenging time but it will get better!

Yes, i have. But he is getting better!! If i can just get him to change his times it would be great too. He is sleeping during the day and up at night!! ?? But other than that he is a great baby. And we love him dearly, we couldn't be any happier my husband and I !! This is our first baby.
