Why didn't I listen when people said I'd need a wire brush? We did Christmas this morning in our house and her long hair is a wreck already. Just placed an order for the AG doll hair kit.
I am in LOVE with that doll and the accessories but that hair scares me because it is soooo long. FWIW, my DD got a Bitty Twin from my Mom for her birthday when we went to AG in NYC and she had the hair ties out before we ate lunch. DD named her Tolly and DH calls her Desheveled Tolly.

Yes, Kanani's hair is off the hook!! We have her and a couple other dolls and hers is by far the worst to manage! We ended up just putting it in a low ponytail off to the side and then braiding it. It's been SO much better. Even with a AG brush, it's impossible for a kid to even just hold the doll without the hair becoming a tangled mess!
Her hair is hell. DD was so disappointed at how quickly it got messed up, like as soon as it came out of the hair net. My mom is getting the brush. I also have heard to wet the hair lightly to brush it, but have not attempted it.
DD1 has several of the dolls and we've taken trips to the hair salon in NY. When spraying their hair make sure water doesn't get in their eyes or they'll rust. I had no clue until the stylist at the store told me. My DD had been spraying water on the poor dolls for months and I have no clue if any water got in their eyes. BTW we use a regular wire brush from CVS. The girls keep losing the AG brush. I wasn't going to pay for another one.
