IUI w/MFI Success Stories?

Hi Ladies I'm new to this group and wanted to say hi. My fiance and I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 years with no success whatsoever . We have been seeing an RE for about 6 months we found out that my fiance has morph and motility issues and on the low side of normal for his counts. We have decided to get married next month and get moving to our next step of this process. His insurance covers 6 IUIs so we decided not to move straight to IVF like advised. We are going straight to injectables to give us more targets and are hoping to start this process in February. I was just wondering if there are any ladies here that have been successful with IUI and having MFI issues? Thank You for your time.

Do you know exactly what his number are?  There really is a huge range of MFI.

There are plenty of women here who got pg after MFI - Good Luck!

TTC #1: we were successfulon IUI #2 with only 2 million sperm. REs want to see at least 5 million. TTC #2: we are in the process of IUI #4. Our insurance covers IUI so we will do a total of 6 before paying OOP for IVF. It's possible to get pregnant with IUI.... Just hard.

I had success on our 3rd IUI with only 9 mil sperm with only 26% motility and low morph!! It IS possible!!

We had success with our fifth iui fourth with injectibles. Two million motile 0% morph.

I am now a lurker but wanted to give you hope because I remember being in your situation.  My DH had low morph 1-2% and we got pregnant through IUI's for my son-only one target the month I got pregnant (fourth month medicated).  Three years later we did an IUI and I got pregnant with my daughter two targets that month.  Keep the faith.  We were told to go directly to IVF too.

My DH had just below normal motility and count, and he had low morph (2-3%).  We got pg on our second IUI/clomid for DS, then got a surprise BFP when DS was 7 months old on our own.  We actually got pg a 3rd time after TTC#3 for almost 6 months, but that was a m/c.  It is possible to get a BFP with IUI!

His numbers were about 35 mil count, 14% motility and 3% morphology.

 

Thank you ladies for all of your wonderful encouraging stories. This makes me feel so much better about  our decision to go with IUI first. We are hoping and praying it works for us as well.

Long time lurker who wanted to give you some more hope.  We got preg on IUI#1 with 4.8 mil sperm and low motility and poor morph.  It can happen :-)  Good luck!  DH was placed on 8 weeks of Clomid to improve his sperm count before we proceeded to IUI (we were previously told IVF was our only option with his MFI.)
