I know there are a few websites with lists but I really can't find anything I like. If you buy yourself and your family made in the USA or fair trade clothing what are some of your favorite stores/websites (besides etsy)? TIA
Mama to Z - 5.5 years, G - 3.5 years, & M - 1.5 years.
I know that -with the exception of some high end specialty pieces made by artisans in Europe, all of the Mary-Kate and Ashley olsen clothes are made in the USA. The row, Elizabeth and James, and one other label that escapes me.
As for the rest- I just research the companies and if I see something I don't like then I save my money. Tea collection and Kenneth cole are both companies with heart. I want to say that American apparel is all made in the USA. Ten thousand villages sources fair trade goods.
And of course: consignment/thrifting are always ways to help your local shop keepers and save money and lessen your impact.
I want to be better about this (something to strive for) so we can support each other!
