Pressure/Adjustment of ute when going from sitting to standing?

I've noticed in the last couple of days that when I go from sitting for a while (like at my desk) to standing, there is some light pressure from my uterus.  It almost feels like its in one position when I sit and then needs to move a bit when I stand.  It only lasts for a moment and it doesn't continue while I'm standing or walking...just initially when I stand up.

Anyone else have this?  I just had an appointment last week and it wasn't really happening so I didn't mention it.  I just want to make sure its not something more serious.

TIA!

Re: Pressure/Adjustment of ute when going from sitting to standing?

  • I have been feeling the same thing for quite some time.  I just figured it was the repositioning of the baby or uterus or bladder or something when I stand.  I feel like I have to go to the restroom.  Most times I do to relieve the pressure.  But I have noticed that there are times it just goes away like you're talking about.  I think we'll be noticing a lot more pressure type feelings as the weeks go on.  =)

  • I have felt the exact thing since about the mid-20's to even now. My OB says it's like BH contractions and totally normal. As my belly has grown, they've gotten quite a bit more painful. Everytime I get up at night to go to bathroom or change positions, my belly is rock hard.
  • I feel that way too...glad to find out it must be normal.?
  • me 2.  It happens when I toss and turn at night sometimes too but mostly when I go from sitting to standing.  It just gets really hard and tight and I thought it was just BH.  It happens more lately then it did when I was in the 2nd trimester.  Now it happens pretty much any time I am sitting and stand up.  It doesn't really hurt.. just uncomfortable.

  • I feel that too.  I always think it is the baby's position.  I try not to get up too quickly from sitting or standing.

Sometimes I feel the rock hard thing that lasts longer than the above and I think those are bh contx.

  • I do have that and I have tons of pelvic pain when I stand up. Things are moving, shifting and changing down there.
