guy i have been having such a terrible few days/week/weeks, i don't even know how long...i mean.it hasn't all been terrible of course, thats why i usually don't complain. the good stuff FAR outweighs the bad..but this morning i am beyond exhausted, and feel like a breakdown is headin my way.
ronnie has been so so so so so so so so freakin difficult. like right now, i am sitting next to his swing while he is crying trying to get him to nap. i already swaddled him and laid him in bed with me-nope, rocked him for 20 minutes-nope, tried leaving him in the crib-nope, now this..which is usually the safety..nope
he woke up 3 times last night to eat..
then he woke up at 6 this morning.
his sleeping has been just regressing..he was waking every 4 hours, then sttn for i think 3 nights, then started waking once, now its just nuts..he woke at 12, 2 and 4..he went to sleep at about 8..
and with his medical issues, im so sick of trying to be a doctor and diagnose him..he was on miralax for constipation..but that made him gassy (my interpretation) so the GI switched him to milk of magnesia..he didn't poop for 5 days, and that was only when i stimulated him with the thermometer..and it was super hard and a ton..
so GI said start miralax again..i did yesterday, and a few hours later the terrible screaming starts again.
joey is a dream, and fell asleep on the bed while i was working on ronnie..
well, ronnie finally fell asleep..with me holding the paci in his mouth and holding his hand?
so i think i will go lay down with joey now..instead of a shower.
?
don't worry though, i know in a little while when we are playing, he is gonna be a goofy, happy little boy and will make me smile for most of the day..
?but for now im just beyond exhausted and frustrated and...ugh

Re: really need some bumpie love
Oh, I'm sorry! ((HUGS)). Marshall is our hard baby to put down to sleep. It takes so much to get him down. And the worse is you know they're tired.
Have you tried glycerin sopositories for constipation (they work immediately)? Our pedi approved using them for Cecilia when she's really straining. She's always constipated. Also our GI said we could use apple juice too. Ce usually poops once every 3-4 days.
Being a mom (especially to twins!) is HARD work. I'm sorry that Ronnie is struggling with the whole sleep thing--makes it very hard on you!
Its great that you recognize that things will get better, but it doesn't make the hard times go away!
You are a fabuolous mommy! Go grab a nap. . . life always looks better after a bit of sleep! Take care!
those days/nights are the worst. i can't imagine going through all that with ronnie and having another little one to care for. you are a super woman!
do you think ronnie could be teething? eli got his first two teeth at 6 months (4 months adjusted). when he's teething he's sleeping/waking at night is extra erratic, and he can be a regular crank pot.
try to get a nap or two in today. that will really help.
hang in there mama!
get some sleep for sure. It always feels better when we get some rest.
As far as the Milk of M, did they offer maalox as an alternative? I know for E, it caused some serious pooping, so it might kill 2 birds, so to speak, help his belly and relieve the consitpation.
Beyond that, just get some rest and remember that they are only this little for such a short time, if we can just survive, we will be fine!
Poor baby and poor mommy:( Hang in there...and keep us for support.
I plan to vent and vent away...we're very good "listeners"
Oh no!!!!!!!!!!! I hate nights and days like that!!! I don't know how you mommies of multiples does it! I hope that he's just going through a growth spurt or teething... meaning I hope there is an end soon! Holding DS's hand really does help him calm down for some reason.
I hope both of those boys let you nap today!!! HUGS!

Oh I am so sorry that Ronnie is upset. I can't imagine what it must be like to have two little ones to look after. You are an amazing Mom and I can tell that you are doing a fantastic job. I hope Ronnie's stomach issues subside soon so that you can all get some better sleep.
