My pedi gives a little book on what you can feed your child during what months. For 7 months he recommends introducing plain yogurt and pastina. I have some questions for anyone who has started these....
I use Earth's Best brand food and they don't have yogurt?..and when I have checked out the other brands none of them are plain yogurt...they are vanilla. Do you think that's a big deal?
Where do you fit these foods into LO's schedule and how often?
Currently DD eats 1oz fruit with 2 tablespoons rice cereal around 10am, then 2 oz veg around 2pm, and then for dinner 2 oz veg and 1oz fruit. I also give a 6oz bottle at each meal except for the early morning 6-7am she gets an 8oz bottle.
I do have DD pedi appt next week but I just wanted to hear from other mother's what they are doing.
Re: yogurt and pastina questions
We give LO the Chobani Champions, mixed berry flavor. (The only other flavor is banana honey). He had already had all the fruits in it. We've also purchased plain Chobani and put his fruit (EB) puree in it. He absolutely loves yogurt! He gets a full 4 oz container for whatever meal we choose to give it.
He has breakfast at 7 am, lunch at 11 am, and dinner at 5 pm. Btw half and a full jar of puree mixed with cereal and one of the following: up to 1/2 a graham cracker, some puffs, piece of pancake, sometimes nothing else. I nurse before the 7am feeding, before both naps, and before bedtime. At lunch, 3pm, and dinner he drinks btw 4 and 6 oz from a bottle. We also put him in his high chair if he is awake when we eat, and give him some from our plates....pasta, meat, cheese. We are open to feeding him pretty much everything.

Thank you ladies for responding!
I love the chobani yogurt for myself...I just didn't know if I should be giving her "kids" yogurt or if that mattered. I'm going to look into the chobani possibly.
Pastina is a very teeny tiny pasta that is often given to babies. My MIL is off the boat from Sicily and keeps asking me when can she give pastina!
