How do I get him to pee standing up?

DS is pretty much potty trained, however, he refuses to pee standing up. So it is a very big production to have to take his pants off of one leg just to get him sitting on the toilet (he only likes to sit backwards). 

His dad isn't into potty training, so he won't show him how it should be done for a guy. How do I help DS with this?

hmmm... We had to have ds#1 go w. dh to get him to figure it out. since your dh won't do that.... Have you tried putting cheerios in the potty and tell him it is a game. He has to try to hit all the cheerios. what about other incentives? Like he gets a sticker (or whatever he likes) every time he pees standing up.
