Before I Use It...

Hi Ladies,

 

I received a Medela pump from my sister-in-law who used it for about 6 months tops. I bought all new parts for it like the shield, membranes, valves and tubing but I'm unsure if I should handwash these parts to get the manufacturing chemicals off of them or use my microwave sterilizer... or both?

Is there anything else you recommend doing before using this used pump?

Sterilize all the parts. I boiled everything. I used my BFF's pump, did nothing other than boiling the parts.
