I made a homemade dishwasher powder using Borax, Baking Soda, Kosher Salt, and Lemi Shine (in place of citric acid). My hubby noticed a slight film on our dishes. I tried some vinegar in the rinse compartment but there were still spots here and there on glassware. After the vinegar added, the next two loads looked better. After 2 loads....they are a little more cloudy. Am I out of vinegar? I don't know how often to add it to the compartment. It would be a pain to add each and every time.
Do I add a little more lemi shine? I don't have hard water that I know of. If I do, it's not even noticeable to me like it was at the last place I lived. I think it's just not getting rinsed quite good enough for the powder. Any suggestions are welcome! TIA!
Re: Why are my dishes cloudy?
I would try a recipe without borax.
I posted this one recently and have had good results with it
