Trying to relax.... (also in Feb. 2012 boards)

I've been having contractions since about 28 weeks and they have started getting stronger. I went in to the Dr Friday after losing what I thought was my mucus plug that morning. The Dr said my cervix is still closed, but they did a fetal fibronectin test that came back positive... He said not to worry too much because my cervix is still closed but to take a few days off work and then switch to shorter days at work. I'm trying not to worry, but now every pain makes me wonder if I'm going into labor.... I was fine yesterday, but the minute I started doing things today I kept getting very intense pressure and back pain that was shooting around to my stomach. I just don't know what's normal.... Has anyone else had problems like this? Or a positive fetal fibronectin at one point?

I haven't (also due Feb), but if you are feeling any problems at this point while trying to do anything, just sit/lay down and relax.  MAybe call your doc and try to make an appointment for tomorrow if you're concerned

I am 28 weeks today and have been experiencing contractions for two days straight...I thought it was from overdoing things a little on Saturday but when I woke up yesterday and they were still happening I called my OB.  Rest hasn't changed them much...luckily I have an appt. today anyways so she said to just continue to monitor them and she will do an internal exam to check for dilation.  This is my fourth baby so I don't know if it is just how my body is with pregnancy at this point, if its just really early BH's or if there is something to worry about.  My MIL took our one year old home with her last night so I don't have to chase her around today since I stay home with her....such a relief, I miss her but I just need to relax.  Continue to drink water and relax, that's all I know to do at this point...t and p your way.
