My baby was born May 19th, she was a great sleeper from the get go. I was waking her up every two hours for the first 2 weeks to feed her at night. Once the pediatrician said she's was good to sleep for as long as she wanted it let it go... she would sometimes sleep from 7:30pm-8:30am. THEN, when she was five months (almost six) we had a family emergency and had to drive from Florida to Ohio (16hrs) and ever since then, she will not sleep through the night. She wakes up and gets a bottle around then again around 5 or so. On top of that, she always slept in the bassinet and then her pack n'play or crib but now after she gets up that first time she will not go to sleep in her own bed. She either winds up in my bed or she and i wind up on the couch any ideas on why this is happening at 7 months or what i can do? And my husband has tried the "crying it out" with her and she fought it and even after she fell asleep, she was awake an hour and a half later.
suggestions please!!! I'm desperate
Re: Sleeping...or lack thereof. :(

I'll check out the book, it's good to hear there's more to it than just lay them and let them cry or so the impression i've gotten online
If this is the CIO you tried, then I'm not really surprised it didn't work. If you're interested in sleep training, then get Ferber's book and read it. It worked for us in about 2 days, although I wasn't trying to get rid of nighttime feedings. No sympathy from me there. DD still wants to eat about every 3 hours round the clock.
