I live in Florida so the weather at the end of Jan can be cool/mild or some years its been pretty darn cold. That eliminates an outdoor party! I figured my only option was to do her 1st bday party at our house but idk if i want to deal with all the ppl and kids running thru my house. Any idea of what you girls are going to do for your lil ones bday?

Close friends and family are coming but most of them have kids ranging 6mo-9yrs.

even though i live in the southwest, we're at 5500 ft so it's down right cold here in the mountains. we'll be having his party at our house, i'll deal with the people & the kids for the few hours they'll be here. we've gone to several other 1st b-day parties in the last few months & they've been about 2hrs long...people know the little guys can't party all day. but it helps that i'll have my parents here to help us with clean up, etc. & our friends watch their kids like hawks so even though kids will be kids, our friends' kids are pretty well behaved. fwiw we're having about 18 people total, so for us, it's a manageable crowd.

we have a looming disaster of 50 people in our 1000 sf house.  I don't know what I was thinking, it is going to be ridiculous.  I blame H for being one of 7 kids.
