What is everyone up to this weekend?

 

It's the official opening of Christmastime here.  I have a Christmas party with my father's side of the family on Saturday and then Christmas with my siblings and father on Sunday.

I am officially behind on: wrapping gifts and getting the food together to bring to said parties.  I'm actually off to call in an order for a salad now, instead of making one

Tomorrow - Boston POPS holiday show (yearly tradition for us) and DS has a birthday party to go to in the afternoon. Sunday - making gingerbread houses and working on cleaning out DH's office (which will be the baby's room and is a mess of boxes that I somehow need to fit my sister in next week when she comes for Christmas....)

Helping my ILs with a few things they need on and going to an awesome drive-thru with the whole family.  (we also drive around looking at christmas lights) Sunday is shopping time with my MIL.  Fun! 

DH and I had today and have had such an awesome day already.  So I have a feeling this weekend is going to be nice.  

Oh and you just reminded me- we need to wrap gifts!

We just had new carpet put in, so I have absolutely no Christmas decorations out in my house. That is my main goal of this weekend. I am also going to see the new Twilight movie with some girlfriends on Sunday. Can't wait!

Tonight - Christmas festival for kids at the park

Saturday - Baking and relaxing

Sunday - Prepping for DD's birthday, assemble some of her bigger gifts and wrapping the gifts that just arrived from her grandparents

Tomorrow we'll be going to my sister's house for BIL's graduation party.  Sunday we'll be going to DH's aunt for their Christmas.  DH works both days so he'll be meeting us there.  Monday (even though it's not a weekend day) we'll be getting ready to leave for Oklahoma.  DH has to stay home to work but we're traveling with my sister and BIL (sis is 16wks pregnant) so it should be interesting.  10+ hours in a car together and no DH for backup.

Finally getting in the Christmas spirit!

Tonight - going to see a Christmas light display where they have bands, hot chocolate, etc with DH and DD!

Saturday - job interview for a job I thought I already had (wth? - this is my third interview to work in retail. Seriously? It's retail lol)

Then taking DD to see Santa at a small local mall where it is not busy.

Sunday - Baking and maybe take DD to Church for the first time. We will see.

Tomorrow - H is working so the kids and I will go to the gym and just hang around here.  Later in the afternoon we are going caroling with other neighborhood kids.  When H gets home from work, I am going Christmas shopping with a good friend.  When we are done shopping, we are going to the bar down the street

Sunday is a home Eagles game and the weather looks good - cold but clear

Tonight - Friends are coming with their 2 kids and dog for dinner, should be a rowdy time!

Tomorrow - Breakfast with Santa, and I'm going by myself to finish Christmas shopping, LO staying with daddy!

Sunday - I think we have a party, not sure of the details, it's one of H's friends and he never asks for details.

My competition dancers have their first performance tonight.  I'm taking my oldest with me.  Tomorrow we have to go see Santa at some point!! That's all i can really think of.

Tonight, DH and I will watch our Thursday shows that we recorded after Ben goes to sleep.

Tomorrow, getting ready for Christmas -- lots of cleaning and wrapping presents.  I also need to run to Target and the grocery store.

Sunday, we are going to my parents' house in the afternoon to celebrate my dad and my SIL's birthdays and we're also doing our family Pollyanna exchange.  My aunt goes to Kansas to see her son for Christmas and my brother and SIL travel to California to see her family, so we always get together a week or so before the holiday so that we can all be together and exchange gifts.  There will be more gifts on Christmas day too, but the adults do a Pollyanna, even though some of us wind up buying for each other anyway (I always buy for my parents and my sister, who is our sitter).  I'm excited to see everyone.

Tomorrow: Errand running the morning while DS and DH are at swimming lessons. DH's extended family Christmas party in the evening. He comes from a huge family and I love his cousins so I always look forward to this.

Sunday: Church, then off to my cousin's son's birthday party. Then hopefully home to get some gifts wrapped while DS naps.

DH's sister and her husband and baby will be here in about an hour all the way from Australia! DH will be on vacation for two weeks beginning in about an hour, so I'm sure there will be some celebrating all weekend, and maybe will we drive up the mountain to FIL's cabin and cut a Christmas tree. No set plans though.
