I just can't decide if its worth the $125 it will cost. I want to see his little face so bad, but they give it at like 32 or 33 weeks and i'll be seeing his face soon after anyway. Anyone else opting for this or not? I dont know what to do!!
I got one at 29 weeks but I only paid $89.95. Not sure I would have done it for $125, it would depend on what all came with the package. I got a cd of all the pictures and a dvd for my package so I feel like I got an awesome deal!

Some people will say, "No way!" Others like myself absolutely LOVE 3D/4D scans. For me it makes the pregnancy seem more real and it's a great thing to enjoy with family. The place I went to with both pregnancies allow groups of people to see the scan because it's projected on a wall in a dark room. I loved seeing my son and all the facial expressions he made. Both sides of the family got to see the scan and they really enjoyed it too. If you can afford it, I recommend it. I paid $125 and got 88 pictures on a disk, plus the video put to music on a DVD. It was a great experience, if I could do it again I would because I loved seeing him.
We opted out. The packages at our local 3D/4D started at $175. Since conception I've become a big tight wad. I can't justify spending a lot of money on things that aren't a "necessity". I feel logically the money can always be applied toward something the LO's need. And it kind of takes out on the anticipation and excitement of seeing them for the first time, I think. But if it were available at a cheaper rate I'm sure I would have ended up doing it, haha.
Its totally a personal decision. U/S' are not my cup of tea, I'd much rather wait it out and let the suspense build. LO will be here before you know it.

I had one done and it was almost $200. I was so excited to get it done, my husband is deployed and thought it would be cool to send him the DVD and some pictures.
Well LO didn't cooperate and we got barely any pictures. I had to go back two times and stlll only got maybe 2-3 pictures of his profile. I am not sure I would have done it again, just because it was expensive and there is no guarantee you will get good pictures.
I did one at 29w & we paid $99, we also got a bunch of free stuff, samples, diaper bag, tote bag, etc. It was cool, but based on baby's position we didn't get many good shots. She has been head down, facing my spine since about 20w, so we only got one picture of her face. Do you know your baby's position? We actually JUST got a better face picture at my BPP yesterday (36w4d).

I was planning on doing it,when I was around 32-33 weeks.It'd been around $200.
Then my doctor sent me for a growth scan, which is covered by my insurance, for the most part.I was ecstatic, DH came with me...
During the ultrasound we found out, that LO was already head down, which makes it hard to take good pictures. Not only that, but she decided on her "no peaking" policy, by covering her face with both hands. No matter what I did/ate, she wouldn't move!
So I'm glad I didn't.
If baby is head down, you may have a hard time getting the pics you want...good luck!

I would NOT change getting one done for anything! No amount of money! We are making our LO a scrapbook, so those pictures look awesome in it! Our insurance covered it too, since they offered it at docs office.

We got one for each of our kids at 30 weeks and they are all very special. It's scary how much alike my kids are so it's fun to know that this baby looks almost identical to her sister. We are even more excited to meet her now. I don't get an u/s after 20 weeks at my OB unless there is medical need so I like peeking in and making sure all looks okay.

We had one at 20 weeks, and though I did enjoy seeing LO, I can't say it was worth the money. The package we get here for $125 though doesn't include a dvd... you only get one pic, and 10 minutes... To get the full monty, it's about $350.... The only reason we did it (the cheapest package) was because we couldn't get the baby's sex at the 2d ultrasound and were hoping to get it at the 3D one... which we didn't end up getting there either.
I did it and I was glad I choose to do so. It was AMAZING to see my baby girl in such detail. I got a 2 package deal- a gender scan w/video/pics @16wks and another one at 29wks w/video, tons of pics in both sepia and black and white as well as a 45min video, and I got a ton of freebies too but the package cost me $240 in my area . But it was worth it to me and my family.
Choosing to do so is so personal, some pp thing babies look really creepy in 4D and refuse to do it. Others want to but just can't afford it. My advice, google 4D pics and see if you really want to see your LO in 4D and then try to find a good deal in your area, and try and get at least one good recommendation b/c not all techs/places have the latest equiptment and take good pics.
We have one booked for Xmas Eve.. We're taking the grandparents and great grandparents along with us so it's even more special. They get to "meet" our lil man for the first time and since it's the first grandson and first great grandson.. and on xmas eve.. not to mention my family is not in the US and they have the option to live stream if they wish... or wait for me to share the results.
This will be my moms first grandson too.. and I am the youngest of 5 ( even tho I am 41 lol ) and no one ever expected me to be popping out kids at all let alone this late lol.
So for our families this is the best xmas pressie we could have gotten anyone... worth every penny.. his lil butt better cooperate lol.
try to negotiate with them - research other sonogram places in your area and say hey this other place offers a monday special for like $65 and i am tempted to go after it but i have heard really good things about you guys. is there anyway you can match this price and maybe give me less pictures? This is what i did and it worked out... it is totally worth it - we blew up the ultrasound pics and they were displayed at my baby showers and got tons of comments on my facebook! Totally fun - plus now they are in his baby book!! Good luck
