How do I know if I have a yeast problem? What does it look like?

LO had a mean stomach bug a week ago and his stools haven't gotten back to normal. He develop a rash, nothing some naked time and CD safe cream couldn't take care of. But there is this persistent rash on the lower belly around the base of the penis (the only way I could describe it would be like the triangle of a bikini). It's red and raised but not just the bumps, the whole area is pretty red.

I've been using a sposie at night and had not had any rash problems so this is since he got sick. The CD safe rash cream doesn't seem to help neither does the GroVia Magic Stick and I swear by it!

So, how do I know if it's yeast and how do I take care of it and the CDs? TIA!!

It sounds similar to how DS started out. See my post from last night. It has been a nightmare. The girl who responded said you have to bleach the diapers to kill the yeast.

I ended up taking DD to the dr and getting a prescription cream (basically like monistat). I didn't do anything different with the diapers (still washing on hot) and it has cleared up.
