Has it gone to the girls? FWIW, it's ranked 60 for boys and 400 something for girls.

It has always been one of my favorites and DH likes it...not a huge fan of the populariy but it seems to be in a down trend. Is it too popular to pair with our other two Scottish names Ewan and Graeme or does it sound ok (even if you don't like the name itself).

I like it for a boy or girl.... but I don't think it's girly. IRL I only know male Camerons. I think it's cute.

 Completely agree.  I think boy, but its NMS and I love your other boys names!

The only two DH and I both like are Cameron and Garrett. I would love to use Niall, Malcom, or Alasdair but he doesn't like them. Favorite boy name is Lachlan but our last name starts with 'L' and ends in 'Land' so that one is out. Other names I like are too similar to Ewan...so, what is better?

ETA: We both really like Jude but I don't feel it fits with our other names in terms of origin etc.

I happen to love Cameron for a boy. DH vetoed it because he thinks of it as a girls name now (argh!). But it is quite different than your other two boys' names, if that bothers you. I personally don't think your kids names should all *have* to "go together." Each of your kids is a different person, you're allowed to like different styles of names, and your name style should be able to evolve. That said, I also really like most of the other names you listed. Since your DH likes Jude I think that name would make for a cute sibset. I really dislike Garrett, though. It sounds dated to me--and not in the cool way retro/vintage way.

I've never known/known of a female Cameron, except for Cameron Diaz, so it always surprises me to see people say it's a girl name. I think it is a great name for a boy and would fit well with his brothers. I don't really see it as a trendy name either- the ones I know fill a wide age range, from middle-aged to mid-twenties to teenagers to younger kids.

I've liked Cameron since seeing it in Ferris Bueller's Day Off and 10 Things I Hate About You.  It makes me sad that it's going to the girls.  I actually think it sounds fine with the other names, but I also really like Jude.

I like Cameron a lot.  But I agree that it doesn't seem to go with your current son and the other twin's name.  If you were just having your third singleton I would say go for it.  But for some reason since they are twins, I feel like it's a good idea to stick with a similar style of name.  Not matchy, but I just feel like they need to go together.  I like Jude with Graeme and Ewan.
