I blame my RE's nurse (u/s report)

I went in this morning for another round of blood work and an u/s. I was so nervous I couldn't even talk to DH, who offered to join me this morning. It didn't help that he peppered me the whole way there with questions like - so what didn't they see last time? What did the nurse say? What will we see this time if it's good news? What will we see if it's bad?

Ugh. I love that you want to participate dear, but I just can't think about this because it makes me sick to my stomach!

Anyway, they took us to a different wing of my RE's office (she's colocated with an MFM) where they have fancier machines - and lo and behold, there was a little fetal pole with a little fetal heartbeat (90bpm - just started!), measuring 5w6d (technically I'm 6w, but I'd call that right on track!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When the u/s tech told the nurse, she literally screamed. And then she confessed to me that she really didn't think I had a viable pregnancy, in case it wasn't obvious from her tone and concern on Tuesday. (Um yeah, it was.)

But all is good for now and I'm one very happy lady! And I got to say to DH - yes, that is good, that is very very good. :)

 

And I'm sorry about the negativity/worry/concern in my posts on Tuesday, but as the title says, I blame my RE's nurse! ;)

    Woo hoo!  I'm SO excited for you!

    Um, yeah, it was, lady...as if....  It's good to be cautious and diligent, but what a relief!

    Yay! Yay! Yay! It is silly for them to bring you in that early if they don't have the right machines to detect pgncy that early anyway.

    I have tears in my eyes for you--what a roller coaster ride. Hooray for a heartbeat!!!! That is just fantastic, fantastic news.
    After 7 failed IUIs, IVF w/ ICSI worked!!

    I am thankful every day for my miracle after infertility.
