Leaky (poopy) diapers

For the past week whenever I get my LO up for the day he has a poopy diaper that has come out of the top, back of his diaper. It doesn't leak anywhere else although it is also very wet...sometimes it seems that his onesie (he sleeps in onesie underneath a footed sleeper) is kind of damp. But the main problem is the poop coming out the back.

 So my question is do you think he needs an overnight diaper? Do those work to hold more poop or just pee? Maybe I should just go up a size in his normal diapers for the nighttime? We never have any problem with leakage/overflow during the day.

I would go up a size for nighttime.  We did that with DS and it worked wonders!  Good luck!

Definitely go up a size at night.  The overnight diapers might not help with the poop, but if its watery like you said they may help more too.  Since you are going to have to buy the next size up for night you might as well get a nightime one.  We use Huggies overnights & no leaks so far!
